No Bail: Plumber Breaches Protection Order

A 32-year-old plumber was remanded into custody after he appeared at the Port of Spain Family Court, yesterday.

The accused is expected to reappear in court on Monday to answer to charges of breach of protection order and malicious damage to the value of $1,360.25.

According to police reports, on October 26, 2023, a woman was at home when she heard knocking at her front door.

She asked the person knocking at the door to identify themself, however, there was no response. A man then allegedly kicked the wooden front door to the apartment, causing damage to the door and its frame. He also threw a pair of pliers in the woman’s direction and then left the apartment.

A report was made to the Four Roads Police Station and a man was arrested on October 28, 2023.

He was charged by PC Ramsarran for the offences.

This investigation was spearheaded by Superintendent Guy-Alleyne and supervised by Sgt Ray.
