A Barrackpore businessman killed his estranged wife and then took his life outside the home of her relatives around 6.30 am on Friday.
Police said that Keisha Bostic was confronted by her husband Sharaz Mohammed as she left the home of her mother where she was staying on Drayton Street in San Fernando.
Mohammed fired several shots at Bostic and then turned the gun on himself. Police confirmed that he was the holder of a Firearm User’s Licence and had variations for at least four more guns.
He died on the scene but Bostic was taken to the San Fernando General Hospital where she passed away while being attended to.
The incident occurred near the Anstey Memorial Girls’ Anglican School.
The couple were married in January and were separated a few weeks ago.
Bostic was an attorney while Mohammed was a businessman of Reece Road in Barrackpore.
