A ban on garden hoses is now in effect until June 30, 2024.
The ban took place at midnight on Tuesday and is part of the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) dry season water management plan.
The announcement was made at a press conference at the Caroni Water Treatment Plant in Piarco on Tuesday.
Acting Chief Executive Officer Kelvin Romain said, “I would like to take it opportunity to mention that as of midnight tonight, the hose ban will take effect and run until the 30th of June 2024.”
He urged citizens to pay attention to their water use and utilise only what was needed.
