Pfizer Vaccines for School Children
ALL children between the ages of 12 to 18 years (inclusive) will be administered the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccines from Wednesday.
A release from the Ministry of Education stated that the vaccines will be distributed at 14 sites across Trinidad and Tobago.

MP asks about Vaccines Sites in Penal/Debe/Barrackpore
MEMBER for Parliament for Oropouche East Dr Roodal Moonilal is asking why government has not allocated a site to vaccinate children in the Penal/Debe/Barrackpore area.
In a letter to Education Minister Dr Nyan-Gadsby-Dolly on Monday, Dr Moonilal stated that those areas were highly populated centres in his constituency.
T&T has Enough Pfizer Vaccines for Children
HEALTH Minister Terrence Deyalsingh on Monday said government had enough Pfizer vaccines to administer to everyone in the 12 to18 age bracket.
Speaking at the Ministry of Health’s virtual media conference Deyalsingh stressed that the ministry wants to vaccinate every person between those ages regardless of school, nationality and residential status.
Police Legal Man on Leave
HEAD of the Legal Unit of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) Christian Chandler has proceeded on leave pending the determination of an investigation into the report of an incident on August 5.
Commissioner of Police Gary Griffith in a press release on Monday stated that that investigations into an incident at sea were currently being carried out by officers of the Western Division.

THE Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Loan programme was revised to allow applicants greater ease in transitioning to the disbursement phase.
The Minister of Finance Colm Imbert said on Monday at the Ministry of Finance’s media conference on financial matters that he and the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago have reviewed the barriers posed by the 2020 SME loan programme.

This was the exclamation of both employees and customers at various retail outlets on Monday as the re-opening of the sector after months of strict lockdown occurred.

EIGHT persons have died due to the Covid-19 in Trinidad and Tobago.
This according to the latest update (#818) from the Ministry of Health on Monday .
It also reported 89 new Covid-19 cases taken from samples during August 12 to August 15.
Policeman Dies After Van Crashes into Ditch
A 25-year-old policeman dies after a vehicular accident in Cedros on Sunday.
In a release the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) stated that PC Dymon Billy was driving his white Isuzu pick-up (TCL 436) along the Southern Main Road in Cedros where he picked up a skid in the vicinity of Limefield.
211 Covid Deaths in 1 Month
TWO hundred and eleven unvaccinated people have succumbed to Covid-19 in one month.
This was revealed by the Minister of Health Terrence Deyalsingh at the Ministry of Health virtual presser on Monday.

GOVERNMENT has spent roughly between $70 to $75million on vaccine purchase says Minister of Finance Colm Imbert.
