A TEENAGER from Arima was shot dead on Tuesday night at his home.
Police reports are that Steven Castillo, 19, was at his Peters Avenue, Demerara Road, home around 10.45 pm when he was approached by two men armed with firearms. He was shot several times in the head and chest.
The suspects escaped in a dark blue Nissan AD Wagon.
The police were informed of the shooting by residents.
Members of the Northern Division Task Force, homicide investigators and crime scene investigators visited the scene.
Three spent shells and a live round of ammunition were discovered.
Police officers from the Homicide Bureau of Investigations Region II are continuing enquiries.
