Arima Licensing Office Closed for a Week

THIS week the Arima Licensing Office will be closed. 

The Ministry of Works and Transport advised the public that that office would be closed from Monday to Friday.

No reason was given for the closure by the ministry. 

In a media release on Sunday, the ministry stated that normal hours of operation will resume on June 17. 

Persons affected by the closure are not required to reschedule their appointment and will be accommodated via the Licensing Division Mobile Offices, which will be stationed at the Larry Gomes Stadium, Arima from 8 am to 3 pm.

The ministry also advised that customers with previously scheduled appointments for the sitting of the Regulation Examination will now be accommodated during the period June 17 to June 28. 

Driving tests will be conducted at the carpark of the Arima Licensing Office and all other licensing services will be available via the Licensing Division Mobile Offices, the minstry stated. 

To complete a licensing transaction, an individual must provide proof of their previously scheduled appointment for the Arima Licensing Office.

Customers are also being advised that payments are to be made via LINX transactions only, as cash will not be accepted on board the mobile offices. 

Persons are reminded that proof of address -utility bill no older than three months is required to complete a licensing transaction.

The accepted forms of proof of address include a cable bill, home internet bill, electricity bill (T&TEC) or water bill (WASA). If a customer does not have a utility bill in their name, he or she is required to produce a letter of authorization from the owner and a copy of their national identification.
