It means that the first eight days of 2022 have recorded 178 deaths due to Covid-19, an average of 22.25 per day.
The Ministry of Health in its latest update (#963) also reported 485 new positive cases.
It also reported that 88,083 boosters have been administered while 48.2% of the population of Trinidad and Tobago is fully vaccinated.

January 8: 37 deaths, 485 cases.
