FROM Monday, the National Lotteries Control Board (NLCB) outlets will once again be allowed to operate.
And from Monday August 16, the retail sector will be allowed to re-open.
The announcement was made by Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh on Saturday during the Ministry of Health’s virtual press conference.
With reference to the retail sector, Deyalsingh said he has received correspondence from the retail sector last Wednesday and the decision was made with the hope more workers will become vaccinated.
Deyalsingh made a special appeal to all businesses to encourage their workers to be vaccinated within the coming week especially as more sectors become open.
He added that there was a worrisome trend globally where the managerial staff of businesses were vaccinated but the ground staff who interacted more with the public were not.
Deyalsingh who announced the rollout of the recently received AstraZeneca vaccine pleaded with the population to make use of the two vaccines that are now available.
