THE Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) issues an adverse weather alert Yellow Level from Wednesday at 11pm to Saturday (October 23) at 6pm due to a Tropical Wave.
TTMS stated, “A tropical wave is expected overnight and into tomorrow accompanied by the leading edge of a band of relatively strong low-level winds. There is a high potential (80%) for gusty winds in excess of 55km/h to accompany intermittent, brisk showers and isolated thunderstorms.”
In addition, street flooding is likely in heavy downpours. Seas can become agitated especially in the vicinity of heavy showers/thunderstorms, the TTMS stated.
The public is urged to monitor the Met Office for weather updates and secure loose items and livestock outdoors.
