THE number of active Covid-19 positive cases in Trinidad and Tobago has crossed 21,000.
And nine more people have died from Covid-19 on Wednesday.
The Ministry of Health in its latest update (#995) also reported 756 new positive cases.
The ministry also stated that 117,575 boosters have been administered while 49.7% of the population of Trinidad and Tobago is fully vaccinated.
The nine deaths included:

4 elderly men;
-
3 elderly women;
-
1 middle-aged man; and
-
1 young adult woman
Four out of the nine had multiple comorbidities, while four others had only one comorbidity and one person had no known medical conditions.

Total deaths by vaccination status as at February 3, 2022: 2, 827 (not fully vaccinated), 216 (fully vaccinated), 390 prior to the vaccination programme.
Patients in hospital: 430
Total persons fully vaccinated: 696,200
Total persons not fully vaccinated:703,800
Boosters administered: 117, 575
Patients in the parallel healthcare system who were not fully vaccinated were 12,164 or 84.1%, while 2,301 or 15.9% were fully vaccinated based on data from July 22, 2021, to January 19, 2022.
For the year 2022:
January: 535 deaths, 19,650 cases;
February 1: 8 deaths, 470 cases;
February 2: 11 deaths, 660 cases;
February 3: 10 deaths, 638 cases;
February 4: 15 deaths, 581 cases;
February 5: 6 deaths, 867 cases;
February 6: 6 deaths, 505 cases;
February 7: 7 deaths, 573 cases;
February 8: 19 deaths, 926 cases;
February 9: 9 deaths, 756 cases
