Opposition Leader, Kamla Persad-Bissessar had said the Opposition would support such a bill but attention will be paid to the fine print.

The legislation has become necessary to enforce health and safety practices in Trinidad and Tobago in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley said during the recent election campaign and promised that the legislation would have been one of the first items on his Government’s agenda in Parliament.
