SAILING times for the inter-island ferry Jean de la Valette on Saturdays have been amended.
In a release on Friday, the Trinidad and Tobago Inter-island Transportation Company Limited (TTIT) advises that there was also a cancelled sailing of the Cabo Star on Sunday.
The TTIT stated, “With effect from Saturday October 3, 2020 and every Saturday henceforth, the Jean de la Valette will depart Scarborough, Tobago at 8.30 am. and not 6.30 am. as previously scheduled. The return sailing time from Port-of-Spain remains at 4 pm. on Saturdays.”
The TTIT stated that due to urgent repairs on the vessel’s turbocharger, the Cabo Star’s 12.30 pm sailing from Port-of-Spain and 11 pm sailing from Scarborough were cancelled for Sunday.
Drivers are advised that all vehicles must be discharged from the Cabo Star by 7 am on Saturday upon the vessel’s arrival in Port-of-Spain.
The TTIT stated that affected passengers are not required to revalidate their ferry tickets.
“The Management of the Trinidad and Tobago Inter-island Transportation Company Limited regrets any inconvenience caused by these amended and cancelled sailings and thank you for your understanding at this time,” the TTIT stated.
