THE Environmental Management Authority (EMA) has launched an investigation into reports of diesel discharge in the waters at the Coral Cove Marina, Chaguaramas.
In a release on Wednesday, it stated, “The EMA is working alongside the national agencies with responsibility for the marine environment, namely the Institute of Marine Affairs, the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard and the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries to address the report. Investigations are continuing.”
The allegation of the diesel in the water was first raised by Fishermen and Friends of the Sea.
