TRINIDAD and Tobago received its first shipment of Covid-19 Sinopharm vaccines from the COVAX facility on Saturday.
The Ministry of Health in a press release stated that the shipment of 84,000 doses arrived at 6.45 pm at the Piarco International Airport.
The first set of vaccines to be received via the COVAX facility was the AstraZeneca vaccine. Sinopharm have been previously purchased by the government directly from China.
The Sinopharm vaccine is presently being administered at all health centres throughout the country.
