4.3 Magnitude Earthquake Shakes Trinidad on Tuesday

AN earthquake with a magnitude of 4.3 on the Richter scale shakes parts of Trinidad on Tuesday afternoon.

The UWI Seismic Research Centre said it occurred at 5.24 p.m. at lat­i­tude 10.82 north and lon­gi­tude 62.00 west at a depth of 10 km.

It was located 57 km west-north-west of Port-of-Spain, 82 km of west-north-west of Ari­ma and 87 km north-west of San Fer­nan­do, according to the centre.

Comments on the centre’s Facebook page revealed that it was felt in places including Diego Martin, Santa Cruz, Charlieville, Woodbrook and Port-of-Spain.
