200,000 Sinopharm Vaccines Arrive in T&T

THE second batch of Sinopharm vaccines has arrived in Trinidad and Tobago. 

The 200,000 vaccines have been procured by the Government. 

In a media release on Monday, the Ministry of Health stated that Health Minister Terrence  Deyalsingh, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs Dr Amery Browne and Chinese Ambassador Fang Qiu were present for the arrival of the vaccines, which will be used to provide both first and second doses of the vaccine to members of the public.

The vaccines landed at the Piarco International Airport at 1.37 pm and were transferred to a secured storage facility, the ministry stated.

On Saturday, Deyalsigh announced that the vaccines would have arrived on Monday and will be distributed to the elderly and various associations for their members
