TWO Public Transport Service Corporation (PTSC) employees have been fined for stealing diesel in 2018.
Curtis St Louis and Andre Sergeant were both found guilty on Friday of larceny of diesel in June 2018 by Port-of-Spain Magistrate Sarah de Silva. They were fined $2,500 for stealing $119 worth of diesel.
Both men were ordered to pay $1000 forthwith and were granted time to pay the remainder.
In default, St Louis and Sergeant would serve three months’ hard labour.
They were arrested on June 11, 2018 after an officer on duty at the PTSC compound, South Quay, Port-of-Spain, observed the men loading two yellow kegs of diesel from a marked PTSC vehicle into another vehicle.
They were charged by PC Marlon Henry.
