A 34-year-old La Brea man was granted bail of $10,000 with a surety.
He appeared virtually before Magistrate Aden Stroude at the Point Fortin Magistrates’ Court on Monday. He was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
As part of the bail condition, the accused was ordered to have no contact with the woman and to keep 100 feet away from her.
It is being alleged that the man kicked and cuffed the woman several times.
The 34-year-old man will reappear on January 31st.
According to a police report, on July 16, 2021 a woman was at her home, when a man whom she knows allegedly kicked her, and cuffed her several times in her face, shoulders and stomach, and as a result she sustained injuries.
