Half a century from Roston Chase was not enough as St Lucia Zouks was defeated by Jamaica Tallawahs in the third match of the 2020 Caribbean Premier League (CPL) tournament.

The game was played at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy on Wednesday morning.

Zouks were the first to bat with openers Rakheem Cornwall who fell for nine runs and Andre Fletcher, on 22.

The top scorer was Chase who made 52 runs from 42 balls before he fell to Mujeeb Ur Rahman

The Zouks got to 158 for 7, a total they thought could well be defended by the bowlers.

Veerasammy Permaul and Mujeeb Ur Rahman were the pick of the Jamaica Tallawahs bowlers taking two wickets a piece.

Tallawahs’ opener Chadwick Walton was caught after scoring just two runs, off the bowling of Obed McCoy.
