Two Covid Deaths Reported on Saturday

TWO deaths have been reported by the Ministry of Health on Saturday.

In its latest update on Saturday afternoon, the Ministry of Health stated that the latest death was that of an adult elderly male. It also reported a death in its Saturday morning update.

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in Trinidad and Tobago now stands at 33.

The ministry also noted that there were 102 new positive cases taken from samples taken during period August 28 to September 4 with an additional 88 being reported.

Number of people tested: 21,770

People having more than one test: 2,922

Positive samples in public and private facilities in TT: 2,230

Active Covid-19 cases: 1,480

Number of Deaths: 33

Discharges: 717

Patients in home isolation: 1,142

Covid-19 Patients in hospital – 100

Couva Hospital and Multi-Training Facility:  75 (five in the intensive care unit and 11 in the high dependency unit)

Caura Hospital: 25

Patients in in stepdown facilities – 39

UWI Debe Campus: 4

UWI Freedom Hall: 33

National Academy for the Performing Arts: 2
