FIVE wins in five for the Trinbago Knight Riders as they beat the Guyana Amazon Warriors by seven wickets at Queen’s Park Oval on Thursday.

TKR remain on top of the standings with ten points.

In a  low-scoring match, Warriors’ openers Brandon King and Chandrapaul Hemraj fell early in the innings on six and two respectively.

Shimron Hetmyer and Ross Taylor got to 26 runs before Hetmyer was caught by Simmons off the bowling of Dwayne Bravo.

Taylor was run out.

Keemo Paul was unbeaten with the top-score of 28 in the Warriors’ innings as they posted 112/7 on the board.

Khary Pierre was the pick of the bowlers taking three wickets and he was also named player of the match.

Lendl Simmons and Tion Webster opened the TKR innings and posted 34 runs on the scoreboard before Simmons was the face to go on 19 runs.

Colin Munro was the next man in but he was sent packing with a duck, bowled by Imran Tahir who took two wickets.

Darren Bravo and Tim Siefert kept their composure to lead TKR home as they were unbeaten on 26 and 39.

They got to the target with 1.4 overs to spare.

CPL action continues on Saturday at 10 am as TKR face the Barbados Tridents followed by the Jamaica Tallawahs/St Kitts and Nevis Patriots clash, starting at 2.15pm. Both matches at the Oval.
