Akido “Sunday” Williams…Surrenders to Police

AKIDO “Sunday” Williams, 39, of Basilon Street, Port of Spain, has surrendered to police.

This after Police Commissioner Gary Griffith issued a news release asking for information on the whereabouts of Williams in relation to an ongoing investigation.

Police said Williams walked into the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) on Richmond Street in Port-of-Spain with his attorney Darren Mitchell on Wednesday.

He surrendered after three men from Beetham Gardens appeared in court, on Tuesday on gang-related charges.

Ancel Villafana, Kevin Franklyn and Kedel Montrose appeared before Chief Magistrate Maria Busby Earle-Caddle and were denied bail.

They were all charged with providing support to gang activity while Villafana, also called “Chemist” and “Presi” and Franklyn aka “Fat Joe” were also charged with being leaders of a gang.
