ST JOSEPH – POLICE are processing a fingerprint found at a window that robbers used to enter the home of Port-of-Spain South MP Marlene McDonald on Tuesday.
St Joseph police are investigating the report that McDonald secured her home in St Joseph, Maracas and left around 11.30 a.m. on Tuesday only to return around 7.30 p.m. to find her house broken into and ransacked.
She reported to police that $3,000 in cash and a quantity of jewellery were missing.
Investigators said it appeared that the burglars forced open a window on the western side of the house. They have also recovered a fingerprint found at the window and hope that it will give them more information on the crime.
