McDonald, Husband Still in Custody

PORT-OF-SPAIN – POLICE questioning of Public Administration Minister Marlene McDonald continued for a second day on Friday.

She has been moved from the St. Joseph Police Station to the Professional Standards Bureau on Henry Street, Port-of-Spain.

McDonald and her husband Michael Carew were picked up by police during the early hours on Thursday and have since been in police custody.
They were arrested on allegations of corruption.

After the questioning where all the evidence will be presented to them, the investigators will then go back to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Roger Gaspard for advice, sources said. They were arrested after police had sent a file to the DPP.
