Imran Khan Skippers Red Force in Super50 Cup

ALL-rounder Imran Khan has been appointed captain of the Trinidad and Tobago Red Force cricket team that will take part in the Colonial Medical Insurance Super50 Cup.

The competition takes place from November 6 to December 1, in Trinidad and St Kitts.

The squad announced by the TT Cricket Board on Sunday is led by 35-year-old Khan who will have Yannick Ottley, another all-rounder, as his deputy.

Batsman Darren Bravo, who has been dropped from the West Indies teams for the upcoming tour of in India has also been included in the squad.

The Red Force were beaten semi-finalists last year.

The players who have retained a lace in the squad from last year are Khan, Bravo, Jason Mohammed, ex-WI batsman Kyle Hope and Tion Webster.

Kieron Pollard, Evin Lewis, Khary Pierre, Denesh Ramdin, Nicholas Pooran and Lendl Simmons will all be on West Indies duty for the tournament.

The team will be coached by Mervyn Dillon with David Furlonge as the manager.
