THE Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) has issued an Adverse Weather Yellow Alert from 2 p.m. on Tuesday November 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday November 6.

It stated, “Periods of showers and thunderstorms, associated with the combination of a tropical wave and the Inter Tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), are likely to affect various parts of Trinidad and Tobago.

“There is also the likelihood of winds gusting in excess of 55km/hr. Street/ flash flooding or landslips may occur in heavy downpours.”

Meanwhile it has discontinued its Hazardous Seas Alert and the level has now been downgraded to Green.

TTMS stated, “Sea conditions are returning to a state of normalcy as the long period swell event has decreased.

“However, caution should still be exercised as some seas along coastal areas may remain somewhat choppy and will be moderate in open waters.”
