American Airlines has Daily Flights to Guyana

GUYANA – AMERICAN AIRLINES has started direct flights to Guyana from New York.

The first flight left the JFK International Airport in New York on Wednesday (Dec 18) and arrived early on Thursday at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport in Timheri.

Arrivals from the United States to Guyana totaled 7,549 which was an increase of 13.43 over the last year, according to the Guyana Tourism Authority.

The new service will be operated daily from JFK on a Boeing 737-800 with 160 seats including 16 first class, American Airlines said.

The airline noted that passengers have access to free live TV, and the ability to stream Apple Music while on board.

The flights are scheduled to leave JFK at 6 p.m. and arrive in Guyana at 12.40 a.m., the next day.
