FOUR men and one woman are under arrest in connection with the discovery of two illegal firearms and a cache of ammunition.

On Sunday, officers of the Freeport Police Station, assisted by personnel of the Freeport Criminal Investigations Department and Warrants Section, executed an information-based search of a house at Mission Road, Freeport.

A media release on Monday from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) stated that during the search, officers discovered two pistols, three magazines and a quantity of assorted ammunition.

Four men and one woman, aged 26 to 41, all of Freeport, were arrested in connection with the find.

Investigations into the matter are still ongoing.
