DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, CMC – Several West Indian cricketers have secured contracts for the 2025 edition of the International League T20 (ILT20), with several stars set to debut in the competition.
Leading the pack of debutants are Shai Hope, Romario Shepherd, Terrance Hinds, Dominic Drakes and Roston Chase, each set to make their first appearance in the league. Hope, alongside Obed McCoy and Rovman Powell, has been signed by the Dubai Capitals.
Meanwhile, Romario Shepherd joins an all-star West Indian contingent at MI Emirates, including Kieron Pollard, Akeal Hosein, Andre Fletcher, Dwayne Bravo, and Nicholas Pooran.
Keemo Paul has been signed by the Sharjah Warriors, which also has St Lucian Johnson Charles on their roster.
Roston Chase will suit up for the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, alongside fellow West Indian heavyweights Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Gudakesh Motie, and Terrance Hinds.
Drakes will ply his trade with the Gulf Giants, featuring Guyanese batter Shimron Hetmyer. Compatriot Sherfane Rutherford will be one of the overseas players for the Desert Vipers.
The third season of the ILT20 kicks off on Saturday, January 11, 2025. The month-long, 34-match tournament will culminate with the final on Sunday, February 9, 2025.
