MARIJUANA and six rounds of ammunition have been seized in Santa Cruz.
And a man has been arrested for breaking a protection order, in a separate incident.
In a media release on Sunday, the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) stated that in an anti-crime operation conducted in the Santa Cruz Police Station district on Saturday, 230 grams of cannabis and six rounds of ammunition were seized.
In a separate incident, a man was arrested for breaching a protective order.
The anti-crime operation took place between 2.15 pm and 5.15 pm and targeted several known high-crime and gang-prone areas, including Sam Boucaud, Gasparillo, Cantaro, McCarthy Street, and Pipiol Road.
Officers searched a derelict vehicle on Joropo Drive, Sam Boucaud, where they discovered one black plastic bag containing five clear plastic bags of cannabis, with a total weight of 230 grams and one black plastic bag containing six rounds of 5.56 ammunition.
Separately, a man from one man from Blackford Street, Santa Cruz was arrested for breaching a protective order involving a female complainant. The accused was taken into the San Juan Police Station.
Investigations are being led by PC McIntyre.
