THE Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) is monitoring an approaching tropical wave.
It is located near 49° West longitude, about 1,350km east of Trinidad and Tobago.
An increase in cloudiness associated with this wave is expected from late Wednesday (June 1) into Thursday.
There is a 60% or greater chance of thunderstorms and/or heavy showers over Trinidad and Tobago during the passage of this tropical wave, the TTMS has stated.
FORECAST: Generally sunny conditions despite brief showers over few areas and the chance of a few heavy afternoon showers. Increasing cloudiness expected as the night progresses with occasional showers, likely heavy at times, over varying areas.

Seas are moderate with waves 1.5 meters to two meters in open waters and below one meter in sheltered areas.
Spring Tides are in effect. Marine interests are advised to exercise caution especially during high tides.
