CHAOS erupted on High Street, San Fernando, today (Saturday) as one man was killed in a robbery at a popular jewellery store.
Camera footage showed four men walking into the Ketan Jewellers around 11 am and then running out with bags.
One man was shot, a security officer fell to the ground.
Another footage showed the robbers smashing the glass case where the jewellery is kept with a hammer and filling bookbags with jewellery.
The vehicle used in the robbery – a black Toyota Aqua with number plate PDZ 5984 was recovered by the police in La Romaine shortly after.
On January 27, two men were shot at the popular south mall South Park also around midday and persons had expressed fear after the murders were conducted in a busy location in broad daylight.
