Vandalism: No Water in Five Rivers

WATER and Sewerage Authority (WASA)  customers in the Five Rivers area, served by the Golden Grove Booster Station are experiencing a disruption in their water supply.

WASA in a release on Saturday said this was due to vandalism of electrical equipment at the facility on Friday.

It stated that emergency repair works were currently underway and are expected to be completed by 6 am on Sunday.

Areas affected include:

  • Upper Five Rivers;
  • Manimore Road;
  • Manoram Road;
  • Laurel Hill;
  • Davis Road;
  • Spring Road;
  • Mission Road;
  • Jitman Road;
  • Marcus Road;
  • William Road;
  • Bertie Road;
  • Lower Five Rivers: from 1st Street to 9th Street;
  • Rainbow Crescent;
  • Smith Development; Howell Settlement; and
  • Cemetery Street.

The release stated that acts of vandalism or suspicious activity at WASA’s installations can be reported to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) or its Call Centre toll free at 800-4420/4426.
