ANDRÉ MARCANO waves the national flag of Trinidad and Tobago at the opening ceremony of the 2022 Beijing Olympic Winter Games on Friday.
In a Facebook post on Thursday, Chef De Mission of the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee (TTOC) Lovie Santana said Marcano, from San Fernando, was a Track and Field athlete with a personal best of 6.73 secs in the 60m and 10.34 secs in the 100m.
He also competed as a professional sprinter, primarily in the United States.
Among Marcano, other members of the bobsleigh team were Axel Brown, Shakeel John, who will compete in a two-man Bobsleigh event on February 14 and 15.
The Games will run until February 20 as Beijing is the first city to host both the Summer and Winter Olympics.
