TRUE Love.
This is how family and friends of the new Chief Secretary of the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) Farley Augustine described the relationship between him and his bride Takyana Nedd.
On Sunday, in overcast conditions at Flagstaff Hill, Charlotteville, Augustine and Takyana tied the knot drenched with heavenly showers.
Romantic music played as the bride walked down the aisle.
Takyana was dressed in an elegant white strapless dress while Augustine wore a white tuxedo with black trousers. The bridal party wore white and burgundy.
Seven-Day Adventist Pastor Tony Mapp of the Tobago Mission of Seventh-Day Adventists delivered a sweet but short sermon.
He also gave them words of encouragement on their new journey together and advised them on the sacred vows of marriage.
Under a white floral arch, the couple delivered personalised vows before the exchange of rings to commemorate unending and enduring love for one another with quick responses of ‘I do’. Nedd said, “I surely do,” to smiles from the groom.
Augustine then unveiled his new bride and kissed her passionately.
The ceremony quickly ended due to the heavy downpour which led the bridal party to exit followed by Mr and Mrs Farley Augustine under umbrellas.
During their exit, Augustine held onto his new bride with care as they walked up the staircase to enter the reception hall.
The wedding ceremony was streamed via YouTube due to Covid-19 public health restrictions.
