INDEPENDENT electricity producer Trinity Power Limited (TPL) is being acquired by ContourGlobal.
TPL is one of the independent power producers of electricity generation (225MW) at the Point Lisas Industrial Estate.
This according to Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley during prime minister questions in the Lower House on Wednesday. The question was asked by Opposition MP for Caroni Central Arnold Ram.
The current owner of TPL is Western Generation Partners – an American company.
ContourGlobal has 107 conventional and innovative power plants in 18 countries, according to its website.
