FIVE more cases of the Delta Variant were reported in Tobago on Friday.
The Division of Health, Wellness and Family Development, Tobago House of Assembly (THA) on Saturday confirmed that none of these cases had recent travel history, however one of the individuals had been in contact with someone who recently travelled.
This brought the total number of confirmed Delta cases on the island to ten.
Meanwhile, the division also reported the death of a 79-year-old man with comorbidities was the island’s latest Covid-19 fatality.
The island has also recorded 14 new coronavirus cases which brought the total number of active cases to 308.
