Sangre Grande Police Issue 50 Tickets

SANGRE Grange police issue 50 tickets for traffic and health violations in roadblock exercises on Monday and Tuesday.

According to a release from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) 24 of the tickets were issued for traffic violations and 26 for public health notices.

Officers also recovered four firearms.

The exercise was conducted during road-check exercises in the district between 2 pm on Monday and 1 am on Tuesday.

The exercise was supervised by Sgt Johnson and officers of the traffic section.

Police also received information of illicit drugs and ammunition in the district.

They proceed to a location in Central Division and seized and recovered 1.117 kilogrammes of marijuana, one Glock 9mm Pistol, one 9mm Pistol, and two Smith and Wesson .38 revolver.
