MEMBER of Parliament for Trincity/Macoya Camille Robinson-Regis is on the road to recovery and will resume duties in January.

This was according to a statement from Robinson-Regis issued on Friday.

In August she announced that she had undergone major surgery and was recovering from complications causing her to step away from political duties.

The MP expressed gratitude to her colleagues, constituents and many of those who wished her well over the past months.

She said, “Your prayers of support, prayers, and concern have been deeply appreciated.”

“I wish to assure the public that the procedure was not serious, and I am recovering well,” she said. “I have remained in constant communication with the key stakeholders across the constituency, as well as with the team at the Trincity/Maloney Constituency Office.”

 Robinson-Regis noted that operations in the constituency were fully functional during her absence.
