MOTORISTS in the Southern parts of Trinidad will experience a temporary interruption of traffic along the Southern Main Road, La Brea to Cap de Ville from Sunday.
According to a release from the Ministry of Works and Transport (MOWT) on Saturday, this is to facilitate the road rehabilitation works from the Pitch Lake to Nurse Street, Cap de Ville on Sunday 8 August to August 20.
MOWT stated, “Day works are expected to commence during the hours of 8am to 4pm and night works from 9pm to 4am.”
Motorists are asked to adhere to the following safety measures:
- Proceed with caution and observe all directional signs and barriers.
- Comply with instructions from Police Officers on site to facilitate a safe and orderly flow of traffic.
- Be aware of heavy equipment entering and exiting the site.
- Drive with caution on all milled (possibly uneven) surfaces.
- Drive at a reduced speed when approaching the work zone.
