Residents Evacuated in Bamboo#3

RESIDENTS in Bamboo #3 had to be evacuated due to flood waters after the passage of a system from Tropical Storm Karen on Sunday.

According to the Ministry of Rural and Local Government, the Bamboo Settlement Government Primary School located on Jaffar Street has been set up as a shelter.

Members of the Coast Guard are assisting the operations.

Flood waters area still present on the Churchill Roosevelt Highway in the vicinity of Grand Bazaar.

Persons are asked to contact the Disaster Management Unit of the Tunapuna Regional Corporation via the hotline 800-TPRC.
