THE Trinidad and Tobago Regiment is investigating a video circulating on social media showing a soldier engaged in an altercation.

In a release on Thursday, the Regiment stated it does not condone that type of behaviour.

It stated, “The Trinidad and Tobago Regiment holds its members to the highest standards of discipline and professionalism and actions taken by service persons which contravene good order and military discipline will not be tolerated.”

In addition, the Regiment stated it will provide the necessary psychological and counselling support to persons affected by the activities as observed in the video footage.

In the video a woman is pleading with a soldier to stop beating another man in a bedroom. Children are also seen.
