Portugal 3 vs 0 Turkey

Portugal flexed their muscles and showed some class against Turkey with a dominant victory that sees them into the next round. Cristiano Ronaldo had an assist to Bruno Fernandes, Samet Akaydin had an own goal and a Bernado Silva strike handed Portugal the win to top Group F with a game to spare.

Silva scored his first goal at a major championship in the 21st minute with a great strike. The Manchester City player had a great game.

Seven minutes later the Turkish defender Akaydin was unfortunate to play a back pass to his goalkeeper who was out of position and could only watch as the ball entered the net. Fernandes completed the route in the 55th minute.

Portugal are now into the next round as group winners.

Czechia 1 vs 1 Georgia

In a very exciting game, dominated by Czechia with 62% possession, 27 shots at goal and 12 on target they had to settle for a draw. This was an open exciting game with end to end action. The smaller teams in this competition are providing the best games.

Giorgi Mamardashvilli made 11 saves before Saba Lobjanidze missed a glorious chance to give Georgia a win. Georgia took the lead on a penalty by Georges Mikautadze in the 45th minute. Patrik Schick got the equaliser in the 59th minute to save them the blunders of losing to a team ranked 40 places below.

Football can be an unforgiving game because Czechia dominated and still could not find the net to win this game.

Belgium 2 vs 0 Romania

Belgium kept their hopes alive with a comfortable victory over Romania in a game which they dominated. Romania were not pushovers and gave the Belgians many issues but the last pass in the box was the issue.

It was a game of both ends with Belgium having 20 shots at goal compared to Romania’s 14.

Romel Lukaku did not score but provided two assists in the game for both goals. Belgium got off to the best start possible, scoring in the second minute. Youri Tielemans provided that goal with a well taken low shot at the goal. Kevin de Bruyne added the second in the 79th minute to seal all the points.

Belgium now have a chance to progress should they win their last game. Let’s look at the table before the last round of matches.

The round of matches start on Sunday when all games are played simultaneously:
