AN investigation has been launched into two police officers allegedly attempting to arrest a man in Princes Town on Carnival Monday.
The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) stated in a media release on Tuesday that Commissioner of Police Erla Christopher was aware of a video circulating on social media which captured the officers alleged action.
Christopher confirmed that Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) of the South/Central Division, Lucia Winchester already launched an investigation into the matter.
The Commissioner said that she was confident that the investigation will be carried out expeditiously, fairly and without favour and she was awaiting the final report from those tasked with undertaking the investigation.
