SAN FERNANDO – TWO suspects have been arrested after police stop a robbery at a Chinese Supermarket in San Fernando on Wednesday.
The arrested men are from La Romaine and Morvant.
Police said four men armed with guns entered the supermarket at Keate Street around 7.45 p.m. and announced a hold-up.
A member of the public reported that four men were seen running into the supermarket and officers of the Southern Division responded. The suspects ran out of the supermarket upon hearing the police sirens.
Police were able to apprehend two suspects.
The police officers who responded included PCs Woodly, Che Beisden, Aaron Mahabir, Sandy, Sujeet Ramcharan.
