POLITICAL leader of the National Transformation Alliance (NTA) Gary Griffith is optimistic that his party will form part of the next Government of Trinidad and Tobago.  The NTA is contesting in six out of the 14 regional corporations.

The NTA presented 31 candidates who will be contesting the Local Government Election (LGE) on Monday, the same day that the United National Congress (UNC) launched its candidates.

NTA is uniting with the UNC. Also in an accommodation with the UNC are the Independent Liberal Party (ILP), Movement for National Development (MND) and the National Democratic Congress.

Griffith, speaking on Monday at a function held  at Queen’s Park Cricket Club Port of Spain said, “I am here to unite the country and I intend to make Trinidad and Tobago safe again.”

Going back in history, he said, every time, a coalition was formed, the PNM was defeated at the general elections.

“I play to win and I can tell you one thing, we are going to be in Government in 2025,” Griffith declared.

The NTA’s candidates will be contesting in six constituencies which he labelled as “bridge” constituencies.
