SOME residents in Tobago, who usually receive water from the Green Hill Intake and Hillsborough Water Treatment Plant will experience an interruption in pipe borne supply between 8 am and 4 pm on Monday.
In a release on Monday, the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) said, “This was due to planned power outage by the Trinidad & Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) that will impact operations at these facilities.”
The areas affected included:
- Concordia
- Idlewild
- Glen Road
- Logwood Park
- Dunveygan Road
- Mt Grace
- Summer Hill
- Spring Garden Trace
- Philadelphia Trace
- Whim
- Union
- Mt Pelier
- Mary’s Hill
- Parts of Mason Hall, Old Road
- Mt St George
- Goodwood
- Studley Park.
Customers are advised that it may take up to 24 hours for the scheduled pipe borne water supply to normalise to some areas after these facilities are returned to operation.
WASA said that a limited truck-borne water service will be available with priority given to special homes, health care and government institutions.
