SEVERAL residents across North, Central and South Trinidad, who receive water from the Caroni Water Treatment Plant will remain without water until 9pm tonight (Wednesday).
In a release on Wednesday, the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) stated there was an emergency shutdown of the plant for electrical maintenance works.
At 3pm, residents in the affected areas experienced a disruption in their pipe borne water supply and will continue to do so until 9pm, the release stated.
The affected areas included:
North Trinidad served by the Valsayn Booster Stations A & B:
Saddle Road, San Juan;
Bagatelle;
Laventille Road;
Febeau Village;
Success Village;
Laventille;
Malick Trou Macaque;
North Trinidad served by the El Socorro Booster Station:
Barataria;
St Anns;
Morvant;
Cascade;
East Dry River;
Dibe;
Long Circular;
Port-of-Spain;
St James;
St Barbs;
Cocorite;
Gonzales Belmont;
Central;
Piarco Caroni North and South Bank Road;
Cunupia;
Endeavour;
Chaguanas;
Jerningham Road;
Lange Park;
Longdenville;
Felicity;
California;
Caroni Savannah Road;
Korea Village;
Bank Village;
Waterloo;
Carapichaima;
St Mary’s;
Mc Bean Couva;

Customers are advised that it may take up to 24 hours for the supply to normalize to some affected areas after the Plant returns to full operation.
