“The information currently being circulated online is false, misleading and mischievous. The NCRHA does not condone the dissemination of false claims by anonymous individuals purporting to be staff members,” it stated.
The NCRHA called the reports “erroneous and outrageous,” saying they were being deliberately propagated to disrupt the measures being put in place by the heads of the Authority.
The NCRHA further stated these reports were being made and spread by those who benefitted from “pilfering” medical supplies and lack of oversight.
It stated, “The robust oversight to ensure transparency and strict accountability has discomfited a few individuals who must now improve their performance standards.”
“Additionally, the measures to combat pilfering of hospital supplies have been very successful, and have frustrated dishonesty in the workplace,” it added.
The NCRHA stated that all medical supplies were “generally available, cost less and last a longer period of time.”
It assured the public that the NCRHA remained committed to delivering top tier health service for their patients.
Earlier this week “anonymous sources” claiming to work at the Arima General Hospital alleged the Hospital was lacking basic supplies such as needles and bacterial bottle tubes.
