THE famous Canadian Niagara Falls will be specially illuminated for Trinidad and Tobago’s 60th year of Independence.
On Saturday, the CN Tower and Toronto Sign at Nathan Phillips Square were illuminated in Trinidad and Tobago colours.
TodoCanada website posted that the falls will turn the T&Ts national colours of red, white and black on August 31 from 10 pm to 10.15 pm.
The Trinbago Toronto festival was scheduled to be celebrated over the weekend.
“This year, marks the Diamond Jubilee of Trinidad and Tobago’s independence and the festival will be special in so many ways. There will be plenty of incredible performances you’ll never forget showcasing the splendid culture of this Caribbean nation,” the website stated.
The event was hosted by the Toronto Trinidad and Tobago Consulate and presented by both Tourism Trinidad Limited and the Tobago Tourism Agency.
